We take in about 240 birds a year off the lower Columbia and the Willapa hills. Barred owls and red-tails mostly, a fair number of eagles in the winter when they get into lead. Donations go to the flight pen we are still paying off and to fish for the eagles, which is not cheap.

Hawkins County Raptor Rehab operates the only permitted raptor facility in upper East Tennessee, admitting roughly 400 birds annually from a fourteen-county referral area. Our medical program covers surgical repair of fractures, lead chelation, and long-term flight conditioning; birds that cannot be released are placed with permitted educational partners. Gifts support veterinary supplies, the mews, and the volunteer transport network that gets birds to us from as far as Bristol.
