The Fund pays landowners in the five-county red wolf recovery area for cooperative agreements, livestock losses, and fencing, and it does so quickly, because a claim that takes eight months to pay costs more goodwill than it is worth. Eighty-one agreements are active. Our compensation reserve and our administrative budget are reported separately in the audited statements.
